Australia's Best Steak

For a long time it was hard to find a truly great steak in Perth.

The secret to a great steak is to source the very best quality meat. At Fibber McGee's we established our own organic farm so that we could be completely in control of that process.

It's then important to dry-age the meat, to give natural enzymes the time to tenderise the meat, and to extract moisture from the meat to concentrate it's flavour. We built a specially designed coolroom to allow us to dry-age our meat on our premises.

The meat then needs to be properly butchered and trimmed. We employ our own butcher to come in and do this on a daily basis, ensuring that our steaks are always of the very best quality.

Finally, the meat needs to be cooked to perfection. In the kitchen at Fibber McGee's, we char grill all of our steak, and serve it with freshly sourced vegetables, tempura fried onion rings and a selection of house-made sauces and condiments.
