Organic Produce
At Drumlane Organic Farm we fully embrace the principles of biodynamic agriculture.
Rows of vegetables are grown in a holistic environment, forming a self-nourishing, self-sustaining crop that requires few external inputs.
We also raise lamb, beef, pigs and chickens, collecting dozens of organic eggs mainly for use in the kitchen at Fibber McGee's. Manure from the pigs is used to supply our worm farm, which in turn produces rich fertiliser for our vegetables.
Our chickens are free-range, of course, but so are our pigs. They are free to roam in a large, grassy field, and live in a comfortable shelter of hay bales. Amongst other foods, we feed our pigs branches of organic olive trees supplied from a nearby olive grove.
We collect all of the oils used in the kitchen at Fibber McGee's and turn it into bio-diesel, which is used to fuel the 4wd at the farm.
In short, we are committed to producing the finest produce using organic farming techniques.
